Skiing and Snowboarding

Skiing in the Lungau region is a wonderful experience. There are 5 skiing areas: Katschberg - Aineck, Fanningberg, Grosseck - Speiereck, Obertauern, Schonfeld – Kameralm – Innerkrems and the small lifts at Lessach, St. Michael – Petersbrundl and Zederhaus. These will give great pleasure to skiers at all levels. There are over 150 km of slopes and 50 lifts available for skiers and snowboarders. The region offers awesome slopes, lots of deep snow and well-maintained descents at all levels of difficulty, from beginners to experts, Furthermore there is the 6-seater Samson Lift (the longest 6-seater chair-lift in the world) on the Fanningberg, and the new 8-Person gondola on the Grosseck-Speiereck as well as the boarder park for snowboarders on the Aineck. It is therefore no surprise that the Lungau is regarded as one of Europe's leading ski regions.
